DISTRICT MONITORING SYSTEM is a single interface through which the District Collectors can monitor the progress of various flagship programs.These are online systems maintained by the respective departments and the data is dynamically linked to the dashboard.Collectors can view the progress of key parameters of different departments through this online application.The Office of the District Collector is handling various activities in relation to establishment matters for Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Parishad including this Office; under the District Collector.This Office works for the implementation of various welfare schemes of the Government of Odisha under the District Collector, Odisha, which includes supervision of year-wise planning for the development and implementation of various schemes under the District Collector.The system not only strenghthens mechanism to ensure the timely implementation of various flagship programs of the Government but also ensures monitoring of all key parameters in each department.In order to efficiently discharge the above-mentioned duty in a productive and time-bound manner, the creation of a web-portal (website) cum database management system has been deemed necessary whereby all the data regarding all Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samity, Zilla Parishad and this Office under the District Collector are to be preserved and updated regularly.It hereby gives the officials to assess: how an intervention evolves over time (monitoring); how effectively a programme was implemented and whether there are gaps between the planned and achieved results; and whether the changes in well-being are due to the programme.
